Bridge the gap
Show your support for new river crossings
The Royal Borough of Greenwich, working with Newham Council, has launched a campaign for two new Thames crossings in south-east London.
To help ease congestion and to unlock huge economic potential currently being stifled by the natural barrier of the river, new river crossings are badly needed.
The 'Bridge the Gap' campaign is calling for a new bridge at Gallions Reach, instead of a new ferry which the Mayor proposes, which would effectively link Western Way with the A13; and also a new tunnel at Silvertown in a bid to help ease congestion at Blackwall.
Pledge your support for a bridge at Gallions Reach, Thamesmead and new tunnel at Greenwich Peninsula by submitting the form below - whether you are a resident, business, or someone in the region who is affected by the lack of river crossings.
Thanks to everyone who has already pledged their support on the Royal Borough's website for the campaign for extra river crossings. We have decided to ask people for additional details when they sign up to the 'Bridge the Gap' campaign in order to confirm their identity.
What happens next
When you submit your pledge, we will receive a record of it and you'll get an automatic thank you email. We will keep a count of the responses - getting as much support as possible will make a real difference to this campaign.
Further information
Please note that the Transport for London consultation is over but we are continuing to take pledges for the river crossings.
