The Woolwich Big Screen

Live coverage of major events

The Big Screen in General Gordon Square, Woolwich, is a new focal point for Royal Greenwich which is gathering pace as an information and events arena for the community.

While local broadcasts are a priority, the screen also broadcasts live BBC coverage of major events, local and national news, sport, the arts, music and entertainment. The climax will be live coverage of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.

With trees and grass terraces, the newly landscaped General Gordon Square provides a green oasis in the heart of Woolwich.

The Big Screen and built-in bench seating make it an ideal venue to take a break, bring a picnic and enjoy outdoor events, news, sports coverage and special screenings.
