Formerly part of the Estate of the Earls of Shrewsbury, and located next to Shrewsbury House, this large open space has fabulous views over London, Kent and Essex, as well as some wooded areas.

The Green Chain Walk passes through the site.

While not an official nature reserve, parts of the park are designated conservation areas.

Dot Hill, located to the north of the Shrewsbury Park, is a former allotment site that has now reverted to grassland and scrub. It is what is known as emergent woodland. There are all sorts of shrub species growing here that attract a variety of birds. A small stream runs at the eastern end, lined with great hairy willow herb.
