It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our town centres! Join us to celebrate the most wonderful time of year in General Gordon Square and Beresford Square this November.
Enjoy a magical light installation, follow the festive art trail by Emergency Exit Arts, join local performers for Christmas singalongs, and little ones can get stuck into free activities, workshops, arts and crafts with local arts organisations.
Plus, pick up unique gifts and treats from local market traders and swap sleigh for funfair rides, with a selection of children’s attractions.

Gateway to Christmas magical light installation by Festival.org - Beresford Square
4pm to 8pm - Celebrating the recent re-landscaping of Beresford Square, the Royal Arsenal Gatehouse will be transformed into a breath-taking festive canvas of light and music. Featuring a soundtrack composed especially for Woolwich by local sound artists, A Right\Left Projects, synched perfectly in time to captivating lighting effects

Soundtrack description
The 7-minute bespoke soundtrack moves through a festive world, interweaving familiar songs and sounds from across the globe. The music features traditional carols, Christmas favourites, steel pan drums, upbeat rhythms, and plenty of sleigh bells, and will move along in time with the lighting creating a world of joyful cheer.
Woolwich Woodland Wonderland Festive Art Trail
- Until new year - Pick up or download a map and follow the magical art trail, produced by Emergency Exit Arts, with artwork created by local schools, and community groups, including ACE care leavers and B Young Stars.
Plus explore the Christmas Market, Festive Food Zone and kids’ funfair rides.
