Volunteer and support the COVID-19 effort
Thousands of people across the borough are volunteering to help residents through the pandemic and what is the biggest crisis many of us have ever faced. With the virus spreading in school-aged children, the new COVID-19 variant ‘Omicron’, and a huge vaccination and booster push this side of Christmas - we are once again asking for your continued help and perseverance to see us through. Here are just some of the ways in which you can get involved:
Volunteer Centre Greenwich - We are urgently seeking volunteers to support local pharmacies and vaccination sites with the rapid role out of the COVID-19 booster and vaccination programme. If you can help we'd love to hear from you. Find out more and sign up.
Community Champions initiative - We are seeking community spirited people to join a team of champions in helping to share key information and advice about coronavirus. We want to reach as many people as possible across the borough by sharing accurate and up to date information about coronavirus and we need your help to do this. Find out more including how to sign up.
Greenwich Mutual Aid - Set up in March 2020 on Facebook, there is information about local activities and schemes including collecting donations, to packing boxes, deliveries to sewing face masks. Follow 'Greenwich Mutual Aid Group’ on Facebook.
Volunteering for our Community Hub is currently on hold.
