Come along to the Tramshed in Woolwich on 8 March for the #BeBoldforChange event.

To mark International Women's Day on 8 March, the Royal Borough of Greenwich is proudly working with the Her Centre, Housing for Women, and LifeLine BaSIS to host a special event.

About the event

The #BeBoldforChange event will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm in the Tramshed, Woolwich and will include advice and information from local support services, henna, reiki, head massages and other therapies as well as face painting and activities for children.

Throughout the day, there will be opportunities for residents to share their thoughts on what makes the borough a positive place for women and where there is room for improvement. Wearing bright and bold colours on the day is strongly encouraged.

At 12.30pm there will be a session for attendees to learn how to make positive life changes. Residents are also invited to tell us when they have done something bold to help/improve their lives or those of other women.

'An enjoyable but also very informative event'

Councillor Jackie Smith, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Environment, said: "The Royal Borough of Greenwich is a strong supporter of International Women's Day and is proud to join our partner organisations working at a grass-roots level in the community to deliver a wide range of support services for women and victims of domestic violence. I encourage residents to come along to what will be a very enjoyable but also very informative event in Woolwich on International Women's Day."
