The last Christmas event of the festive season was held on Saturday 3 December.

There was something for everyone at a wintery Cutty Sark Gardens; the children enjoyed the glow of the carousel and Ferris wheel while the mulled wine and cider bar proved popular with adults.

Children visited Father Christmas and his elves in his very own grotto and walked happily away happily with a small gift. A talented ice sculptor left residents in suspense as he carved many festive-themed creations.

Performing on stage were Tyber from The Dualers, The Rock Choir, Sound Refuge and The Tootsie Rollers. Residents also feasted their eyes on the magnificent strolling festive acrobats, characters and Santa's reindeer!

The Mayor of Greenwich, Councillor Olu Babatola and Cabinet Member for Customer Services and Anti-Fraud Councillor Maureen O'Mara, representing local ward members, stood centre-stage to lead the countdown for turning on the magical Greenwich Christmas tree lights.

"Today was a very special and enjoyable day for people and local businesses. Local residents had the chance to use their Greenwich One Cards to get a great deal on their Christmas shopping and support local businesses on this Small Business Saturday"
