If you're a business in the area, we invite you to become a Love Your High Street champion by signing up to a voluntary pledge for businesses to adopt to help tackle litter and rubbish dumping in the borough.  

Why sign up?  

Businesses play an important role in helping to shape the look and feel of our local communities. Research shows that having a clean and well-maintained business frontage and pedestrian area can boost footfall and encourage customers to shop in your area. We would love your support with this campaign because, by working together, Royal Greenwich’s business community has the power to improve the local environment for everyone’s benefit. 
 
Our commitment to you 

Once you have signed up to become a Love Your High Street champion, we will promote your commitment to the initiative and provide stickers to display in your premises.  

The Love Your High Street Pledge 

• Keep your shop front and pedestrian areas, directly outside your shop, clean and tidy  

• Manage your own waste responsibly in compliance with the law   

• Promote the campaign to employees and other colleagues, including street cleanliness and the correct disposal of business waste and recycling 

• Encourage customers to dispose of litter responsibly  

• Be a Love Your High Street champion, displaying the campaign sticker  

• Be vigilant to fly tipping within the area and report any incidents to the council here

We’ll be sharing the success of the campaign via our social media channels using the hashtag #LoveYourHighStreet. Support the campaign by becoming a Love Your High Street champion. Without the support of local businesses, the Love Your High Street campaign objective will not be achieved. This means your contribution is essential to helping us make a real difference.
