Anyone aged 16 and over can now get vaccinated against COVID-19 – and what better place to do it than sunny Greenwich Park?

As students return to the classroom, now is the perfect time to grab a jab and ensure that we are all doing what we can to protect ourselves.

We are asking young people to play their part and join the millions of people who have already had the vaccine.

Pop-up Pfizer clinics will be running in Greenwich Park this weekend (Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September), from 11am to 6pm, on both Saturday and Sunday. The first 100 people to be jabbed on both days will get a £10 high street voucher as a bonus.

So why not enjoy the sunshine, treat yourself to an ice cream, and protect yourself against the virus!

Councillor Miranda Williams, Cabinet Member for Health and Adults’ Social Care said: “As schools reopen it is so important that young people take this chance to get jabbed. Vaccines are the best thing we can do to protect one and other.

“We have all had a taste of life getting back to normal, and if we want to continue down that path we all need to play our part. Do it for yourself, for your friends, for your parents and your teachers.”

In line with Government guidance the clinics at Greenwich Park this weekend will provide first dose vaccinations for anyone aged 16 and over. Second doses are also available for anyone aged 18 and over who had their first dose at least 8 weeks ago.
