More than 20 children will be given a brand-new laptop thanks to donations from several contractors.  

The kit will help boost the learning of vulnerable children who have been without the necessary technology to actively participate remotely during the course of the pandemic.   

A total of 22 devices have kindly been gifted by businesses across Royal Greenwich.   

Councillor Matt Morrow, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “These laptops will go a long way in helping some of the most vulnerable children in our borough with their education. Learning from home has been a real challenge and it is vital that our children and young people’s needs are supported, and it is thanks to local businesses that we are able to provide these vital tools. During the pandemic Royal Greenwich has shown real togetherness and we must ensure that we continue to step up and support others where we can.”  

Max Building Services Limited, Open View, ATPB, and Erith have donated 22 laptops between them.  

The mix of HP and Lenovo devices will be given to students to help with learning from home.
