The census is a mandatory survey that is sent out every 10 years by the Office for National Statistics to residents in England and Wales. It aims to collect information about everyone’s individual circumstances help influence decisions locally and nationally. The data collected will ensure millions of pounds are spent in areas that will benefit you most such as healthcare, education, transport, emergency services, diversity and many more. 

Officially, Census 2021 Day was 21 March, but if you didn’t manage to fill it out, there’s still time!  

Until the first week of May you can still fill it out online. 

Or, if you need help filling it out, you can visit or call any of the six support centres around the borough up until the first week of May. In each of them there staff will be on hand to guide you through the survey at the centre's completion events.  

Filling it out is mandatory so it's really important that you take part and get your voice heard.
