Support local traders this Small Business Saturday by taking a trip to your town centre and shopping locally on 7 December.
Small Business Saturday is a national day to celebrate and support small businesses and we’re encouraging everyone in Royal Greenwich to embrace the local businesses on our high streets and shop local.
When you shop locally, not only are you helping a small and independent business benefit from increased sales, you’re also contributing to more money being kept in the local community and helping these businesses to continue to provide local jobs.
There was an estimated £812 million spent in small businesses across the UK during last year’s Small Business Saturday – an 8% increase from the previous year.
There will be range of shops, cafés, restaurants, dry cleaners, florists and more that will be displaying a Small Business Saturday logo in their windows, so you know that they are participating in this incredible event.
If you have a Greenwich One Card membership you will have access to a wide range of discounts on products and services at the participating local businesses.
Cllr Denise Hyland, Cabinet Member for Economy, Skills and Apprenticeships said: “We have an amazing selection of local and independent businesses across the borough and it’s vital that we show our support to these businesses on Small Business Saturday, and all throughout the year.
Also, what better place to get all your Christmas shopping done than right on your doorstep - you don’t have to travel far!”
