There are planned improvement works being undertaken in Plumstead road - eastbound between the junction of Burrage Road and Pettman Crescent.

The works will improve bus movements as well as cycling facilities, by introducing a segregated cycle lane, which will in turn prevent potential conflicts and make the location a safer place for cyclists.

We have taken this opportunity to resurface the carriageway, however this will result in a full road closure.

We are trying to limit as many delays as possible, therefore the road closures will come into force on 25 November 2019. The road will close at 8pm and re-open at 5am the following morning. The works are expected to last 4 days.

We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience, however due to the current condition of the road surface, this is essential and will also prevent delays in the future caused by adhoc maintenance.

Advanced warning/notification signage will be visible on site to inform road users of the works, diversions and contact information, if any issues were to arise during construction.
