Transport for London (TfL) have launched a consultation on a proposed new bus route, the 335, from Kidbrooke Village to North Greenwich.

They are consulting on two route options, and are asking residents to have their say on the proposals.

The first option would go via Kidbrooke, Kidbrooke Park Road/Rochester Way, Blackheath Royal Standard, Westcombe Hill, Peartree Way and West Parkside.

The second option would operate via the A2, A102 and Peartree Way and West Parkside.

Both options would use double-deck buses operating every 12 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes and every 15 minutes during evenings and Sundays.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Danny Thorpe, said:

"The is great news, as it will finally give thousands of residents a direct public transport link to the tube at North Greenwich. Kidbrooke is one of London's fastest growing neighbourhoods, with more new homes, shops and other facilities opening over the coming years.

"The 335 will be a vital service for residents who do not own a car, and will enable people to make more journeys by public transport, easing congestion and reducing pollution. I hope that as many people as possible from Kidbrooke, Royal Standard, the Peninsula and beyond respond to the consultation so that we get the route that best reflects the needs of local residents."
