The Council is funding free roadshows across the borough, until 1 September, where kids will be able to pick up a free Train Like A Jedi pack.
Pick up a free Train Like A Jedi pack
By collecting a pack, families can also discover plenty of tips for getting active and outdoors this summer.
Councillor Averil Lekau, Cabinet Member of Adult's Social Care, Health and Anti-Poverty, said: "The Council's free summer roadshows are the perfect place for families to visit to pick up some friendly fitness advice for their kids or themselves. We all know that exercise is good for our health and wellbeing but for many reasons, getting started or keeping going can be difficult - the roadshow is here to help."
Woolwich, Eltham and Charlton
The Get Active and Be Outdoors bus is touring major locations around Royal Greenwich including Woolwich, Eltham and Charlton and will be giving out free kid's Train Like A Jedi packs. Taking inspiration from their favourite science fiction movie characters children will get moving as they learn to master the ways of the Jedi.
Trained staff will also be on hand to provide advice on how Greenwich Get Active, can connect residents with a wide range of free and affordable activities happening in their area. From just moving more in their daily life to taking up a new sport, there is sure to be something that suits everyone. Residents can also find out more about leading healthy lifestyles on the Live Well Greenwich website.
The Get Active and Be Outdoors summer roadshow is part of a partnership with Public Health England, Change4Life and Charlton Athletic Football Trust.
