How to report your home test results
You should report your home test results every time you use a rapid lateral flow test kit, as soon as possible after you get the result. You cannot report a result more than 24 hours after taking a test.
If your home test result is positive
If you receive a positive COVID-19 rapid test result you and your household will need to self-isolate for 10 days and book a confirmatory test.
If your home test result is negative
A negative result means the test did not find signs of COVID-19 at the time the test was taken.
However, you can still catch the virus and pass it on so please test on a regular basis and continue to follow the guidelines including regular handwashing, social distancing and wearing a face covering where recommended.
COVID-19 support payments
If you receive a positive COVID-19 test result or are told to self-isolate by the NHS because of close contact with someone who has COVID-19, you may be eligible for a £500 payment.
The payment is for people on a low income who must self-isolate for 10 days and cannot work from home during this period.
