Volunteer and support the COVID-19 effort
Fighting the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is as a massive undertaking and with it brings lots of ways in which we can lend our support through volunteering. Here are just some of the ways in which you can get involved:
Community Champions initiative - We are seeking community spirited people to join a team of champions in helping to share key information and advice about coronavirus. We want to reach as many people as possible across the borough by sharing accurate and up to date information about coronavirus and we need your help to do this. Find out more including how to sign up.
Project Hope - While everyone is already doing their bit to protect the NHS by staying at home, we need to support the incredible efforts of our local NHS workers which is why we've launched Project Hope, a joint initiative with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, to support the wellbeing of our NHS staff and patients. Find out how you can help.
Greenwich Mutual Aid - Set up in March 2020 on Facebook, there is information about local activities and schemes including collecting donations, to packing boxes, deliveries to sewing face masks. Follow 'Greenwich Mutual Aid Group’ on Facebook.
