Update on Eltham controlled parking zone (CPZ)

Following a review of the parking arrangements in Eltham (which included the ‘E’ and ‘EC’ parking permit zones) it was agreed that a proposal to adjust to the CPZ should be promoted with the creation of a new CPZ ‘EN’.

Details of the proposals within the scheme were originally sent to residents in March 2020.

The council listened to the feedback received during the course of the consultations and wished to address some of the issues raised by businesses within the extended and proposed CPZ areas.

It was agreed that the council would:

  • re-design some parts of the proposals in order to address some the concerns raised by residents and businesses, in particular the area in the vicinity of Well Hall Road and Kidbrooke Lane.
  • re-consult with residents and businesses on the proposals using the statutory 21 day notice period, as per the Traffic Management Order regulations.

Following a re-design of the Eltham CPZ scheme, formal consultation on the proposals ended on Wednesday 14 July 2021 and we would like to thank all residents and businesses for providing feedback.

Consequently, The Royal Borough of Greenwich is now currently reviewing all the information received during the public consultation, and all comments will be taken into consideration before a decision is made on the final outcome of the scheme.

For information, a copy of the most recent design can be viewed here: View the proposed scheme plans.

Once a decision has been made on the proposals, all directly affected residents and businesses will be notified of the outcome.

Further updates on the scheme progress will be added to the web site in due course.
