What the Discretionary Council Tax Rebate is
The Discretionary Council Tax Rebate is a one-off payment to eligible households to help with rising energy costs. It’s part of the government’s Energy Bills Rebate scheme announced earlier this year. There is a different rebate for people in council tax bands A to D.
If you get Council Tax Support and live in bands E to H, you will get a payment of £150.
If you do not get Council Tax Support and live in band E, you will get a payment of £65.
You will get one payment per household. Payments will be made as soon as possible.
