About the grant

The Greenwich Get Active Grant (GGA) Fund will allow sports clubs, community organisations and charities to initiate new Physical Activity and Sport programmes in Royal Greenwich.

The grant aims to support the objectives of the Greenwich Get Active Physical Activity & Sport Strategy to:

Enable Royal Greenwich to get active and stay active

  • Increase participation rates among Royal Greenwich’s young people and adults by embedding physical activity in everyday life for everyone living and working in Royal Greenwich.
  • Increase communication and raise awareness about the physical activity and sport offer in Royal Greenwich.

Improve Health & Wellbeing in Royal Greenwich

  • Use behaviour change interventions to tackle inactivity among underrepresented groups in Royal Greenwich.
  • Use physical activity and sport as a means of preventing and managing health conditions, improving wellbeing, and tackling social isolation.
