Help to end rough sleeping

We work in partnership with the homelessness charity Thames Reach (London Street Rescue) to meet with rough sleepers, carry out assessments and provide support.

We look at options to reconnect people to their own area, or to support them to find accommodation, usually in the private rented sector, in Royal Greenwich.

What you can do

We need you to let us know when you spot a rough-sleeper in your local area.

Outreach workers will attempt to contact the person, based on the information you provide, so try to give an accurate description of them and their exact location.

You may be asked for your email address so the outreach worker can let you know the outcome.

All information you provide will be held in the strictest confidence.

Homeless people not sleeping rough

Most single homeless people are not sleeping rough, but are 'sofa surfing' and staying between family and friends. The council provides advice and help to single homeless people, and provides accommodation to many who are particularly vulnerable.
