Greenwich residents are in urgent need of affordable housing, and as part of our commitment to addressing this crisis we’re embarking upon a new, large-scale programme of home-building across the borough.

One of the areas we're looking to build is in Rydons Close, and we’re keen to hear the views of those living in the surrounding area.

Where we might build

You can see the area we're thinking of building on marked on the map below:

What we're thinking of building

Following our consultations with neighbouring residents, the designs we've submitted for planning approval are for one four-bedroom wheelchair-accessible house, with a disabled parking space and a pick-up/drop-off space for assisted transport. You can see these designs, subject to approval, below:

When we hope to start building

If planning approval is given we anticipate building work beginning in spring 2020, and the homes being finished in summer 2020.

How you can have your say

We consulted with local residents at a meeting and online in September 2019. Those immediately neighbouring the site will soon be contacted separately by the Planning team as part of their consultation process. If you have any questions about the development please contact us at greenwich.builds@royalgreenwich.gov.uk.
