Foot tunnels, Thames Path and Cutty Sark Gardens

Greenwich Foot Tunnel

Greenwich Foot Tunnel is open for essential journeys, including at weekends. You must adhere to social distancing guidelines when using the tunnel, and keep to the left.

Updated on Monday 6 July

Repairs to the north lift at Greenwich Foot Tunnel are due to start at the end of July. The lift has been out of service due to a safety issue.

The delay has been a result of contractors having to furlough staff, a backlog of work elsewhere, and challenges in the supply of materials.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to users and thank you for your continued patience.

Cutty Sark Gardens

Cutty Sark Gardens will now stay open at weekends.

Thames Path

The narrow sections of the Thames Path (Enderby Wharf to Drawdock Road and Cutty Sark Gardens to Park Row) which were closed are now open.
