Making Sense of Maths - A workshop for parents/carers who wish to help their young child to learn to develop their maths skills

The Making Sense of Maths workshop is a two and a half hour session that will increase your knowledge about the key brain areas and cognitive processes that help your child to develop their mathematical understanding and skills. The workshop will also increase your confidence in helping your child to strengthen their mathematical abilities by using activities and games at home to practise the skills taught at school in ways that confirm to them that maths is fun. The workshop provides lots of helpful information and is interactive and informal – a friendly place to learn. All of the attendees are sent a PDF of all the Activities and Games discussed to put their learning into practice without delay. The content covered is suitable for supporting children in the early stages of mathematical skill development, usually aged 4 – 8 years.
