Thursdays 11am - for babies who are starting wriggle about and may move off their mat
For babies 4 months + Baby yoga is a sequence of moves for your baby. It is not postnatal yoga, though we may include a few gentle stretches based on yoga asana (postures) and some pranayama (breathing techniques) for parents’ relaxation. We’ll try a savasana too! You will move your baby’s limbs, or encourage/help them to move themselves, to stretch, promote circulation, motor awareness and muscle development. Just as adult yoga encourages you to be aware of and sense your body, baby yoga aids this in infants. Babies who have taken part in baby yoga often reach physical development milestones sooner than expected. Once your baby has begun to crawl, they have generally graduated from baby yoga! Baby massage is a perfect precursor to baby yoga, so if your baby is under four months you may want to complete a five/six week course of baby massage, move on to beginner baby yoga until they are five months, and then on to advanced baby yoga until they are mobile.
