Tim Barnes QC is Chair of the University of Greenwich Law Forum. The Baroness de Stempel, a direct descendent of William Wilberforce was involved in 2 sensational trials, the first for the murder of her first husband Simon Dale and the second (on which she stood trial jointly with her second husband the Baron de Stempel and her children Sophia and Marchu Wilberforce) involved the wholesale theft of the property (money, antiques, painting and shares) of an elderly and confused Lady Illingworth (the last private resident of a single house in Berkley Square) and the forging of her will.
