This event will allow local people to identify the barriers to reporting all forms of hate crime and help us discuss solutions .

Between 2017/18 there were 512 incidents reported across Greenwich. In 2017, the University of Huddersfield estimated that only one in four hate crimes are reported. There is also a concern that hate crime will increase following Brexit.

This event will allow local people to identify the barriers to reporting all forms of hate crime and help us discuss solutions.

The event will involve a specialist panel including:

  • PC Tara Duffy SE BCU Partnership team – Faith and Hate crime coordinator
  • Annette Hines, Senior Community Safety Officer and Hate Crime Strategic Lead Royal Borough of Greenwich

Light refreshments will be provided.
