Make a beautiful Christmas Wreath with lights and support the farm, learn a woolcraft and about their rare sheep (beginners and all abilities).

Join Woodlands Farm and South East Yarn Academy's (SEYA) workshop in the beautiful atmosphere of Woodlands Farm the obvious place for learning wool-craft. Make a beautiful wreath with the addition of fairy lights to give it that warm Christmassy glow.

You will create the whole wreath from first principles. You will incorporate sustainable and natural objects and needle felting. You will create a beautiful wreath which can be adapted to be traditional or contemporary. Your wreath can also adorn the table and will enhance any room at Christmas.

You will also learn the fascinating craft of needle felting. Needle felting is an easy technique using wool and a needle to lock the wool together. If you are lucky, and there is some available, we even may be able to use some of the fleece from the sheep on the farm.

You can then add embellishments of your choice such as needlefelted fruits, leaves or even a little woodlands sheep felted to personalise your make. You will then use natural found seeds, cones, rose hips and leaves we will have sourced from around the farm to give a wonderful autumnal feel to your wreath. If you come early you may even be able to pick up some twigs or leaves yourself.

You will get to learn new skills, meet new people and relax in a convivial atmosphere. Light refreshments will be provided.
