What's allowed in our parks
Our parks have byelaws to let you know what you can and can't do. Below are some of the byelaws that apply to all our parks.

Barbecues and fires
You're not allowed to use a barbecue or have an open fire in any of the Royal Borough of Greenwich's parks and open spaces.
This protects our parks, heathland, woodland and local wildlife from the potential fire hazard and any related damage.
Busking
Busking isn't allowed without prior consent from the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome, however the following rules apply to all dog walkers:
- a maximum of four dogs allowed per park user
- you must clean up after your dog
- dogs must be kept under control at all times and other park users need to be respected.
Events
Events are only allowed where permission has been granted. Find out more about how to apply to hold an event.
Fireworks
Fireworks aren't allowed without prior consent from the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Fly posting
Fly posting isn't allowed in our parks and open spaces. If you'd like to advertise something in one of our parks, then please contact the Parks team at parks@royalgreenwich.gov.uk.
Horse riding
You're not allowed to ride horses in our parks without consent from the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Tents, marquees and other temporary structures
You're not allowed to erect any structure within our parks and open spaces without prior consent from the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Trading
You need permission from us to trade or sell goods in our parks and open spaces.
Vehicles, remote-controlled vehicles and drones
No motorised vehicles are allowed in our parks and open spaces without written permission from the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
The only exception is mobility scooters.
