Information Centre for Eltham Town Centre improvements opens

Published Wednesday, 09 March 2016

The Royal Borough has opened a project information centre for any residents who would like to view the many improvements that Eltham will be receiving in the coming months.

The centre will be open until the works are substantially completed. Project drawings will be available at the drop-in centre together with a provisional programme, showing when each section of construction is expected to be carried out.

Where: Information Centre, 38 Well Hall Road, SE9 6SF
Opening times: Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm

Eltham's new look will include a more natural, modern looking high-street which will include widened pavements, better street lighting and easier parking.

All parts of the roads and footways will be reconstructed. The final works will be a complete resurfacing of the carriageway, followed by the patterned finishes on the crossings.

A 20mph speed limit will also be introduced and the Royal Borough of Greenwich has an agreement from Transport for London (TFL) agreeing that high quality granite paving is to be used.
