Young musical talent hits the stage

Young musical talent will be showcased at the Great Hall later this month, as Blackheath Halls hosts a concert by young musicians within the Royal Borough across two nights.

Many schools within the borough will be participating in this two day event which will be full of fun-packed musical entertainment.

Coordinated by the Royal Greenwich Music Hub, the event will take place at Blackheath Halls on two nights: Thursday 12 and Friday 13 November starting at 7pm.

Thursday includes a samba band from Woolwich Polytechnic, a 17 piece violin orchestra from Halstow Primary, a solo pianist from Thomas Tallis School and a big band from Royal Greenwich music centres (RGMC) based at Shooters Hill.

Friday's programme will include a steel band from Eltham Hill School, a 35 piece orchestra from Gordon Primary, and the James Wolfe String Orchestra.
