More than 200 residents shared their views on what matters most to them.

The second round of meetings took place in January and February in Woolwich, Greenwich, Eltham and Thamesmead - with a higher overall attendance than at September's first set of sessions.

A large percentage of residents were taking part for the first time, resulting in a better, broader representation of your views.

Listening and engaging with local communities

The Better Together sessions are part of a borough-wide listening and engagement effort which enables residents to share the issues and services that matter to them and their priorities.

Ideas put forward will now be analysed and the Royal Borough will follow up on issues raised. Some suggestions will be included in the 2017/18 scrutiny programme while others will be fed back to the relevant Council department.

The Better Together meetings have also encouraged further engagement in related consultations and volunteering opportunities including more people asking to take part in the Transport for London (TfL) and Police scheme, Community Roadwatch.

Proud to work with our residents

Leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich Councillor Denise Hyland said: "It has been very positive to see so many people take part in our Better Together meetings. We are proud to work in partnership with the residents who are at the heart of our borough. Listening and acting on their comments and suggestions will strengthen our borough by setting out joint goals for the future.

"Thank you to everybody who took part in this round of meetings and I look forward to seeing even more of you at future sessions."
