Thamesmead Christmas Sparkle comes to the Clocktower on Friday 8 December.

The Council has teamed up with Peabody for Thamesmead Christmas Sparkle - the first Christmas event to be held in the area.

There will be plenty to enjoy at the event which is being held on Friday 8 December from 3pm to 7pm. There's something for everyone with craft activities, children's fairground rides, ice carving and festive gifts on sale from local traders - plus the man himself, Santa, and his reindeers and elves!

There will also be an exciting range of live music with performances from Jerusha Frimpong, Bishop John Robinson School Choir, We Are Trackless and many more.

'Meet Santa's reindeers and elves'

Councillor Denise Scott-McDonald, Cabinet Member for Culture, Creative Industries and Community Well-Being, said: "The countdown to Christmas is finally on as we cap off our celebrations in Thamesmead. I would encourage as many people as possible to bring their friends and family to experience this magical event and help show what Thamesmead has to offer.

"So come along and meet Santa's reindeers and elves and be entertained by talented musicians at our free final Christmas event."
