Have your say in developing and improving adult social care by joining the focus group.

If you are currently receiving social care services funded by the council, or have recently been assessed for social care services, you are invited to take part in focus groups. Your comments will help identify areas for improvement, directly shaping the future of adult social care in the borough.

About the focus groups

The sessions build on the successes of the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board, a mental health reference group which collaborates with other organisations to ensure that Council services are fully informed by the people who use them.

The next adult social care focus group will be held at The Forum@Greenwich in Trafalgar Road on Thursday 21 September from 10am to 12pm. Refreshments will be provided. Spaces are limited, so please reserve your place by emailing adultstransformation@royalgreenwich.gov.uk.

Future focus groups in November and January will be announced shortly and listed on the Healthwatch website.

Healthwatch Greenwich

Royal Greenwich is working in partnership with Healthwatch Greenwich for the project which aims to reach a large cross section of service users, including carers and friends and family of people receiving care, to ensure that their views are represented.

'Golden opportunity to have your say'

Councillor David Gardner, Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care, said: "Our focus groups are a golden opportunity for people who have used adult social care services to have their say. We want to make improvements and by working together with service users the Council will be able to make the changes which will make a real difference to the lives of our residents."
