Support fund for local sports clubs
Is your sports club looking for extra funds? The Sports Promotion unit may be able to help your club development with extra funding of up to £500.
Club Development Support Fund
We want to help clubs and organisations attract more members and encourage activities that will be open and accessible to everyone.
You can use the money to develop clubs and organisations in various ways. For example, you can spend it on:
- sports equipment
- extra coaching for talented youngsters
- an open day to attract new members
- inter-club competitions.
NOTE: the fund will not cover general running costs, loan payments and projects with high ongoing maintenance costs.
How to apply
To apply for the fund, you need to tell us what your club will use the money for.
The process is simple as long as you can provide:
- Your club's constitution or membership rules
- A recent statement of accounts.

Please return the completed application form and conditions acceptance form to the Greenwich 2012 Sports Legacy Team. If you are successful, we will inform you and forward the money to you within eight weeks of receiving your application.
