Using parking meters
Listed below are details of our meters in Greenwich, Maze Hill and Woolwich, all of which accept 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins.
Charges (until 31 March 2012)
Here are the meter rates, minimum purchase and maximum stay for the parking meters in Greenwich and Woolwich:
Greenwich
Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 9am to 6pm:
- rate: 20p for each five-minute block (equivalent to £2.40 for an hour)
- maximum time: 30 minutes, two hours or four hours depending on location and the type of meter.
East Greenwich (except for Maze Hill, Park Row and Park Vista)
Monday to Sunday, 9am to 6.30pm:
- rate: £1 per hour
- minimum purchase: 20p for 12 minutes
- maximum purchase: two hours
Maze Hill, Park Row and Park Vista
Monday to Sunday, 9am to 6.30pm:
- rate: £2.50 per hour
- minimum purchase: 50p for 12 minutes
- maximum purchase: two hours
Eltham
Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm:
- rate: 40p for each 15-minute block (equivalent of £1.60 per hour)
- maximum purchase: two hours
Woolwich
Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 6.30pm:
- rate: £1.50 per hour
- minimum purchase: 20p for eight minutes
- maximum purchase: two hours or four hours, depending on meter.
