Functions of the staff consultative committees
There are three staff consultative committees operating at the Council. Their role is to ensure all staff issues relating to the day-to-day running of the Council are resolved smoothly and effectively.
The chair of each of the committees alternates each municipal year between the Council and staff sides.
Greenwich Council Joint Committee
The Greenwich Council Joint Committee negotiates on issues concerning staff across all Council departments.
Joint Works Committee
The Building and Engineering Joint Works Committee negotiates specifically on issues concerning building and engineering staff.
Schoolteachers and Lecturers Joint committee
The Greenwich Council Schoolteachers and Lecturers Joint Committee negotiates specifically on issues concerning schoolteachers and lecturers.
