Local housing panels

Functions of local housing panels

Local housing panels provide a base for council tenants, leaseholders and Royal Borough of Greenwich to form a partnership to achieve the following:

  • work for the benefit of all tenants and leaseholders in our neighbourhoods
  • positively promote equal opportunities and work towards the elimination of discrimination against individuals or groups
  • work for a strong community spirit and better quality of life for all tenants and leaseholders
  • build partnerships with other agencies to benefit the neighbourhood.

Meetings are open to the public so all local residents are welcome to attend.

Download our housing panel constitution to find out more about who sits on your local panel, and visit the meetings calendar to find out when panel meetings are held.

Tenants and leaseholders discuss local issues such as:

  • cleaning services
  • environmental concerns
  • safety and wellbeing
  • shaping the future of repairs
  • tackling priority issues affecting your neighbourhood
  • questioning Housing Services' delivery.

Other consultation groups

There are a number of other housing consultation groups in Royal Greenwich:

The Diversity Review Board

The Diversity Review Board is a formally recognised body within the Royal Borough's participation structure.

The board meets quarterly and provides an opportunity for tenants and officers to debate diversity issues relating to policy formation and practical service delivery requirements.

The Borough-Wide Housing Panel

The Borough-Wide Housing Panel brings together elected panel members from each housing panel to discuss issues from across the borough.
