Energy modelling graduate

  • Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 (depending on experience)
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Location: Waterloo

The successful candidate will provide Energy Modelling Assistance for Technical, Commercial and Production purposes. They will also produce an energy modelling review to validate and de-risk design-and-build solutions, optimise the design and win more projects through innovation.

Skills and experience 

To apply you should have:

  • a relevant degree
  • a full knowledge of codes and regulations applicable to the job description
  • ability to use TAS software for Part L and and bespoke models
  • ability to work as part of a team and to communicate with other members delivering expertise for other trades.

The ability to use specific design software (Excel, SAP, TAS, IES, AutoCAD, Revit, etc) is desirable but not essential.

Electrical Estimating Engineer

  • Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 (depending on experience)
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Location: Waterloo

The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering and estimating assistance for technical, commercial and production purposes. They will produce and/or review electrical design and verify that the design documentation used in all stages is in compliance with the clients' and/or contractors' requirements, and estimate accordingly.

Skills and experience

Store Manager

 A vacancy in a large clothing chain store in Woolwich.

  • Hours: Full time. The store is open seven days a week, and shifts will be confirmed following a successful interview.
  • Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Main duties

Skills and experience

Care home vacancies

The following vacancies are with a residential care home for older people, with branches in Blackheath and Beckenham.

Activities Team Leader

Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £20,020 per annum

Main duties 

  • To ensure that individual residents' social, emotional and psychological needs are met by involving them in suitable activities
  • To lead the team of activity staff taking responsibility for their training and line management and working with them to plan a programme of activities for residents
  • To develop and manage a team of volunteers able to assist in activity programmes at the care home
  • To be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the highest standards of resident care and that each resident achieves their maximum potential using a holistic approach
  • To maintain good communication at all times to ensure continuity of care and practice.

  • Providing treatment where relevant

Skills and experience

  • Be a professional registered nurse with community nursing experience
  • Have the ability to evaluate and deliver care packages, with excellent customer service skills
  • Have competent IT skills, with a knowledge of EMIS

Hours: Casual, variety of shifts and hours available, Monday to Sunday
Salary: £10.03 to £10.30 for day shifts, £11.03 to £11.30 for night shifts

Bank Registered Nurse

Hours: Casual, variety of shifts and hours available, Monday to Sunday
Salary: £15.58 per hour for day shifts, £16.58 per hour for night shifts
Location: Blackheath

Registered nurse professionals wanted, with experience of providing care to older people, to support the care home nursing team. You will be involved in delivering the highest standard of nursing care, coordinating and providing care and treatment in line with NMC and CQC standards.

Skills and experience

  • Be a registered nurse with an up-to-date NMC pin number
  • Competent IT skills
  • Have experience in delivering palliative care to older people
  • Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, CQC inspections, NICE medication guidance for care homes and supporting older people with dementia
  • Be prepared to work flexibly. 

IT trainer/residents’ computer facilities manager

Hours: 20 hours – 30 hours per week
Salary: £30k per year, pro-rata
Location: Blackheath
Closing Date: 23 January 2015

An IT Trainer is wanted to assist care home residents to use computers and other electronic devices and to access the internet with confidence. The successful candidate will provide training and support to staff and residents, and will include the design and delivery of weekly lessons, or one-to-one tuition in the Computer Centre.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Experience of delivering IT training
  • A natural empathy with older people
  • A friendly, outgoing nature
  • Knowledge of multiple forms of IT, including PCs, tablets, etc.

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience of working with older people
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation
  • Experience of using Microsoft 8.1 and Microsoft One Drive
