Childcare Practitioner (Level 3)

  • Hours: 14 hours per week, term time only.
  • Contract: One year contract.
  • Salary: £8,528.80 per year.

Skills and experience

Greenwich Toy & Leisure Library Association is seeking to appoint a Childcare Practitioner with:

  • NVQ Level 3 in childcare or education
  • experience of early years, key stage 1 and 2, to support children with special needs
  • flexibility

A DBS check will be required for this post.

Apprenticeship Engagement Adviser 

Merton Chamber of Commerce is seeking to employ a small team of people with excellent employer engagement skills and a strong understanding of apprenticeships to fill a total of six part-time positions.

Hours and location: An average of two days a week in the following boroughs: Greenwich Newham, Sutton, Croydon, Hounslow and Richmond. It would be possible for an individual to apply to work in more than borough. If you cover two boroughs it would take you up to 4 days per week.
Salary: £200 per day
Contract: 8 months from December 2014 to July 2015 on a self employed basis.

The role involves:  

  • working with local SMEs, helping them to recruit apprentices age 19+
  • achieving target of 90 businesses engaged
  • supporting 32 businesses through mentoring
  • finding appropriate training providers
  • develop and maintain links with organisations who can support project delivery (eg, local chambers of commerce, Jobcentre Plus, voluntary and community organisations)
  • achieving 13 apprenticeship starts for local SMEs

  • Excellent communications skills
  • Well-developed networking skills
  • Coaching skills
  • Existing knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks
  • Local area knowledge
  • HR experience
  • And you should be a self-starter, able to work on your own initiative
