You must return a Blue Badge if:

  • the badge has expired
  • your medical condition or mobility improves
  • you get a replacement Blue Badge and then find the original - return the original
  • the badge becomes damaged, faded or is illegible
  • you no longer need the badge, for example, you become confined to the house
  • the badge holder dies.

Organisations must return Blue Badges when they cease to exist or when they're no longer eligible for Blue Badges, for example, they stop transporting disabled people.
