Free cycle skills courses

The Royal Borough of Greenwich offers free cycling skills courses to anyone over the age of seven who lives, works or studies in the borough.

Sessions take place in different locations around the borough. Participants can borrow bikes for free as well as helmets and high visibility vests.

One-to-one courses

Courses are tailored for different ability levels. You can choose from the following courses:

  • Rusty riders - for those with lower confidence or fitness levels
  • Start commuting - for those who want to start cycling to work but would benefit from help planning a route and building their confidence on the road
  • Advanced commuter - for experienced commuters looking to make their commute safer and more effective.

Bike maintenance courses

Bike maintenance courses are available at Charlton Athletic Football Stadium. Courses costs £5 per person and you need to bring your own bike.
