Do you want to be involved in improving your local park?

Friends of Parks Groups work with the Royal Borough of Greenwich's Parks team to create better open spaces. Each group helps care for a specific park or green space owned or managed by Royal Greenwich.

Through the partnership, park users get a greater say in what goes on in their local parks. All residents are welcome to join a friends group - or help to set up one.

To learn more about friends of parks groups and how you can set up one, please contact our parks team on parks@royalgreenwich.gov.uk or call 020 8856 0100.

How we'll help

We will advise your group on how to adopt a constitution and set up a committee.

This will enable you to seek funds from various sources, such as:

  • Big Lottery Fund
  • London Community Foundation

Your group may even be able to get funding from organisations that do not take bids from local authorities.

If your group needs help with grant applications, we can also help.
