Ranks are situated in locations where the public most need taxis. For example, transport stations, hotels and major shopping areas. They are placed so that passengers can board or alight from the footpath.

Can I request a taxi rank at a busy location?
If you would like to request a taxi rank in a new location, you should contact the Public Carriage Office, you can use their online form or call them.
They will then consult with the Royal Borough of Greenwich about your request.
