Options for care outside your home
Hospices
Hospices provide specialised care for people with a terminal illness. They also offer support and counselling to the patient, their family and friends.
There are two hospices in the local area.
Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice
The hospice is situated in the quiet calm of Bostall Woods, Abbey Wood. The hospice offers services to residents of Royal Greenwich and Bexley who need respite, specialist symptom control, supportive care or end of life care, for those with a life limiting illness and their families or carers.
They can also provide care to people in a variety of settings, not just in the hospice building.
Further information is available on the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice website.
