Food Hygiene Award scheme
Premises with Food Hygiene Awards
The Royal Borough of Greenwich recognises those catering businesses in the Royal Borough that are achieving good standards of hygiene at their premises and encourages other businesses to reach those standards.
Local food businesses are inspected to make sure that is all food is handled and prepared safely. The results of the inspections are added to our food hygiene database.
Customers can use the Award Scheme list to look up a local restaurant or cafe and check whether it has a good standard of hygiene before they go.
Find out who has a certificate
To check whether your local restaurant has been awarded a certificate, download our Award Scheme PDF on the right.
If you want to find a specific restaurant or cafe but do not know what street it is on, you can search its name in Adobe Acrobat. Simply open the document, press Ctrl F, type in the name and click 'Find'.
If there's no award, look at the date of inspection. If there isn't one, the place simply hasn't been inspected yet. If the date has been and gone, the premises were not up to standard.
The premises are listed alphabetically by street name.
Food alerts
The Food Standards Agency provides up-to-date information about problems with food. You can check the latest information or sign up to receive automatic notifications on their website using the Food Alerts link on the right.
