Community Learning Disability Team

If you are affected by a learning disability and find it hard to cope in your day-to-day life, there are services to help you.

You may benefit from support with daily tasks such as:

  • making meals
  • washing
  • dressing and shopping.

These services are able to help you live as independently as you can and in a way that suits you.

Speak to a duty worker

The Community Learning Disability Team operates a duty service every day. If you would like to speak to a duty worker, please call 020 8921 4860.

Opening hours for duty worker:

  • Monday to Thursday, 10am to 5pm
  • Friday, 10am to 4pm.

Keeping safe

If you are an adult living in Greenwich and have trouble protecting yourself from abuse or harm, the Royal Borough has a responsibility to prevent you from being abused or mistreated.

If you or anyone else feels that you are not being treated properly, you should call 020 8921 2304.

Transforming care - learning disability and autism

NHS England have published a national plan to develop community services for people with a learning disability and/or autism and who display challenging behaviour. This includes those with a mental health condition.
