International and national travel links
Travelling overseas from Royal Greenwich
As well as having great internal transport links, Royal Greenwich is well positioned for international travel services, with good connections to London's airports, the Channel Tunnel, Channel ports and Eurostar.
Rail travel across the Channel
You can cross the Channel to France and Belgium either as a passenger or with your car using the Channel Tunnel.
The nearest passenger Eurostar stations are London St Pancras and Ebbsfleet International.
The Eurotunnel for vehicles leaves from Folkestone in Dover to Calais.
Sea travel
The Channel Tunnel and Channel ports are accessible by the A2/M2, A20/M20 roads, which connect with the M25. The A102 connects to the M11 via the A12.
Air travel
The nearest international airport to Royal Greenwich is London City Airport. The airport can be reached using the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) from Woolwich Arsenal, the Blackwall Tunnel or the Woolwich free ferry.
London City Airport offers a range of European and domestic flights which are useful for business or leisure travel.
Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stansted airports are also within easy reach of Royal Greenwich using rail or road networks. You can get to these airports via central London by overground rail or underground from Victoria, Paddington and Liverpool Street train stations.
Gatwick and Stansted also have coach services from Victoria.
