Building Control information for professionals

Through our association with Local Authority Building Control (LABC), we are able to offer a number of schemes to help our customers through the building control process. If you're a contractor, architect or developer we may be able to help with fast-tracking the approvals process or inspections.

Depending on how your proposals have been put together, you can choose from:

• Full plan approvals - obtaining approval to the whole scheme at an early stage
• Staged approvals - staging approvals to phase with your design process. We recognise that for large complex schemes it is not always possible to submit all plans before work begins on site.
• Building Notice approvals - in some cases going straight to site under a Building Notice route.

In each case you can still be on-site and constructing within just 48 hours.

Registered details

If you or your clients build using standard units or designs, these could form Registered Details and be used as approved throughout England and Wales and removes the need to provide each Authority with the same information over and over again.

The arrangements are administered through Local Authority Building Control (LABC) and consist of Registered Systems, Registered Building Types and Registered Solutions.Further information about registered details is available on the LABC website.

Quicker inspections

On a commercial build, lost time represents lost money. We recognise this and usually a morning telephone call will result in a site inspection the same day. Weekend and evening inspections can often be arranged.
