Sign up as ship crew

You can take part in the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta by signing up to be a crew member on-board a Tall Ship.

No previous experience is required as you will be sailing as part of an experienced crew, learning as you go. You could choose to sail the whole three month journey, or just part of it.

Greenwich is proud to welcome anyone to sign up as sail trainee crew to take part in the first leg of the Regatta - sailing from Royal Greenwich to Sines in Portugal. This first leg takes two weeks and costs from £1,500 depending on the ship you choose.

How to book your place on-board

Local young people who are keen to take part but are financially challenged can apply to join the Royal Greenwich Sail Trainee programme which is funded by sponsors.
