Help getting around

There are services available to you if you have a mobility condition or use a wheelchair.

We can organise a mobility assessment or a note from your doctor to support your application. Talk to our Mobility team about your situation.

What help can I get?

You may be eligible for one or more assisted travel schemes for disabled and elderly people. These include: 

Support on public transport

Transport for London's free travel mentoring service supports disabled people to travel independently on public transport.

You can also plan your journey and check TfL transport accessiblility

Hubs Mobility Advice Service offer free impartial advice on accessible travel options including buses, coaches, rail, air travel and community transport.

Proof of disability

To have rights under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, you need to show you meet the definition of disability.

If you need proof of your disability to be exempt from paying VAT when buying health related equipment, contact the Mobility team.
